how to connect 3 rca plug cord rgb cable to tv from home theatre?
I have a sony home theatre system which has a high definition out put (red, blue , green sockets). I also have a tv which has a high definition socket(red,blue,green). A guy from sony had adviced me to get a component cable. I had got a component cable n tried fixing it to the socket from tv to dvd. Now the tv shows a double screen in one screen and the image is also not clear. Is this a fault with the component wire i got? Please help..... the component cable i got is 3 rca plug cord rgb cable which says this cable transmits video with clarity within 100mhz frequency bandwidth
it's probably that the receiver is outputing the wrong signal. You may need to go into the menu and set it to output the resolution of your tv (try 720p if you aren't sure). I'm sure the component cable is fine but make sure you have the connections right and they are tight. After that, check to be sure the tv is on the correct input and the receiver is set properly. The double screen may be PIP (picture in picture) make sure that is off.
If the receiver and tv have hdmi you may want to try that. It will give you a better (digital) signal but I don't think that's your main problem now.
